“The Volalto2.0 project cannot and must not stop. We will move forward alone, no matter what happens!”. This is what emerged from the meeting between Nicola Turco, president of the Club that plays in the top division of Women's Volleyball, A1, and Carlo Marino, mayor of Caserta. A meeting that served, first of all, to take stock of the investments that the Turco family has made so far, “with the sole support of Golden Tulip that has, up to now, supported VolAlto 2.0 and continues to support it”, specifies patron Turco.
Important and substantial investments that range from the purchase of the A2 title, to the promotion to A1 earned on the taraflex, passing through the redevelopment of the PalaVignola. Investments, it was underlined during the meeting, that have not found any response either from entrepreneur-sponsors or from the public that has made their warmth felt little by the team engaged in the top national women's volleyball championship, leaving the arena almost always empty at every home game. And to think that sport, but above all the A1 title, represents one of the main indicators that allows a capital city - and by extension its province - to gain positions in the annual ranking on livability. And if it is true, as it is true, that Caserta and its province, in recent years, have gained significant positions in the ranking drawn up by “Sole24Ore”, precisely thanks to sport and its implications in society, it is equally true that the city has not responded to the repeated appeals of Volalto 2.0 who asked, simply, to be supported, supported. But the results have not even arrived from the field, despite a very respectable roster with top-level athletes and coach. And so here is the moment of reflection and reset, with the decision to question everything and to review the composition of the team. In fact, in the face of significant investments there is the reality of the penultimate place in the ranking.
And President Turco is not having it. So a revolution, for a change of direction, and a meeting with Mayor Marino, during which President Turco reiterated the reasons for everything that has happened, for the sacrifices made. Turco does not give up, also putting the possibility of relegation to A2 on the table and starting again next year. Volalto 2.0, therefore, is on the market for new additions, continuing its run in this magnificent and unique experience of A1. The objectives remain safety and staying in A1, but relegation can also be achieved and therefore we start again next year from A2. The meeting between the parties, concluded with the hope, both from the club president Nicola Turco, and from the mayor, Carlo Marino, that there may be greater sensitivity from the public and the fans, who come to support the team and make the team feel the warmth and affection and above all support the VolAlto 2.0 club and President Turco to move forward, no matter what happens.
Going forward, therefore, continuing the A1 path, with Caserta engaged against Brescia in the next home round of the women's Serie A1. In this regard, Brescia has denied VolAlto's request to change the date of the match. The Lombard club has not accepted the request and therefore, VolAlto will most likely take the field with 14 girls. Caserta will not be able to make the transfers for the new arrivals by Wednesday. The club's idea - according to what has been learned - would consist of registering 14 girls to oppose Brescia, with the first team and the staff, together with the management, watching the game from the stands and then taking the field with full ranks in Florence. At the PalaVignola, for Wednesday evening, 500/600 students from all over the province are also expected to fill the stands of the former PalaSaintGobain.

"I sent them away and I will protect the athletes and staff – declared Nicola Turco – taking full responsibility. Those who are left will not take the field without the new arrivals. It is better to lose with the 'girls' and take my responsibilities than to humiliate my athletes and staff. They deserve only honor and glory. This is my position and this is how I will act”.
