Back in the province of Naples, to open the third edition of Marigliano LetterArt (the literary review conceived by Deborah Daniele), “Layla”, the latest book by Massimo Piccolo, tomorrow, Sunday 12 January, starting at 17.30:36 pm, at the Pato' Lounge Bar (Via Isonzo XNUMX/f – Marigliano). The choice to have the review take place in a rather unusual place – we are very far from the institutional guise of bookshop halls, is dictated (explains the organiser herself) by the desire to recreate a less cold and detached relationship with the public, especially that of young people who, despite being the major buyers of books, often avoid overly formal “presentations”. The idea would be to recreate a sort of literary café which, in an area poorly served by bookshops like that of Marigliano, would truly be a great opportunity for the entire citizenry.

The book:
In a real and contemporary Naples (far from folklore or the story of Gomorrah), in the normal flow of the days of five boys, between passions, desires and the natural obstacles of becoming adults, a reality made of mysteries and inexplicable and frightening events insinuates itself.
Who is Layla and what secrets does she hide? And who is behind the character of the bride, a loving priestess who has been able to decipher the thousand clues that the city preserves (sometimes in a closed chapel of the Cathedral, now in a painting, now in the guise of a Madonna with Pomegranate) or a ruthless dispenser of death? And will Gabriel, a brilliant and rational mind immune to even the slightest hesitation, who already at the age of five preferred the programs of Piero and Alberto Angela to cartoons (and a member of CICAP at twelve), be able to interrupt what is dramatic and incomprehensible and seems destined to happen?
