The financial police of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Bari and the Central Service for the Investigation of Organized Crime of Rome (SCICO) have executed a custodial order against 36 individuals, some of whom belong to historic clans of organized crime in Bari (Anemolo, Strisciuglio, Capriati), issued by the GIP at the Court of Bari following investigations coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Bari and conducted by the GICO of the Guardia di Finanza in the gaming sector, with particular reference to the installation and management of entertainment machines in commercial establishments and gaming halls in the capital of Puglia.
The seizure of the profits from the criminal activity, estimated at over 7,5 million euros, is also being carried out.
