Dal 18 al 19 gennaio, al Teatro Civico 14 di Caserta, Daniela Ioia – che tra i suoi ultimi successi annovera la partecipazione a Gomorra La Serie e Il Sindaco del Rione Sanità – sarà protagonista di MAMMA, MÀ!, un esilarante monologo scritto da Massimo Andrei, per la regia di Gennaro Silvestro e prodotto da Teatro Insania con le musiche oroginali di Massimo d’Ambra, i costumi di Antonietta Rendina. Assistente alla regia Lella Lepre.
The Neapolitan actress, after her successful experience in the fourth season of Gomorrah and having played Donna Armida in the film version of Il sindaco del Rione Sanità directed by Mario Martone, returns to the Teatro Civico 14 after the success that accompanied GLI INNAMORATI with a new comic and all-female role.
In the play, which sees her busy with various performances in Campania, she plays a woman struggling with a pregnancy test. While waiting for the result, she has nightmares and dreams of the possible types of mothers. As Daniela Ioia states: “MAMMA, MÀ this year has a greater value, I return to the stage with this crazy show, after almost a year, and as a mother. In fact, just last year, during the preparation I discovered I was pregnant with my son. I have a lot of fun, and thanks to the comic, but never banal text by Massimo Andrei, and the ad hoc direction by Gennaro Silvestro, I am able to express myself. I like to see the audience entertained and, ranging between dramatic and comic roles always stimulates me. I am waiting for you all, to laugh, but also to reflect, on the most beautiful thing in the world, being a mother!”.

Am I expecting a baby? Yes? How much will my choices determine how I raise my children? What kind of mother will I be?
Mom, mom!
These are the questions that crowd the young woman's head, struggling with a pregnancy test. She will project her image in three possible versions of mothers, fragile, determined, insecure. "Mamma, mà" is a look at the female world and the desire for motherhood that sometimes becomes an obsession, sometimes awareness that time passes and we grow old.
A funny, dynamic but above all true story of a contemporary woman and her future as a mother… Mom, mom!
All three projections of mothers or aspiring mothers will find themselves facing a series of difficulties and small dramas, such as the various tests and medical visits to be done for an insemination, or the rebellious character of a daughter who falls in love with a black man, or the desire to mock the passing of time with body care and aesthetics, feeling on par with their children and their friends.
Which mother will be our protagonist? What does the future hold for her? Mom, mom!
