There were three service operations in Vomero at the end of the month. 150 homemade explosive devices and 7 kilos of gunpowder were seized from a 28-year-old, who was arrested; 204 'rendini' and 9.721 freely available fireworks were seized from a 30-year-old who was selling them on the street, who was also arrested. Last night the military seized 16 batteries from two men who were selling them in Piazza degli Artisti: they reported the two and the dealer who sold them to them. Again, yesterday evening, in Vomero 134 fireworks were seized and 2 people who were selling them on the street were reported, while between Chiaiano and Piscinola a thousand were found, seized from unknown persons. In the southern area of the province, in chronological order, in Vico Equense 51 kilos of fireworks were seized and the person who was selling them on the street was reported. Furthermore, in Pompeii, 616 explosive devices were seized and one arrest was made. In Castellammare di Stabia, a man was arrested for possession of 87 homemade explosive devices and 12 kilos of legal fireworks. In Ercolano, a 31-year-old was also arrested for possession of 500 'rendini'. Another man was arrested for possession of 120 'rendini', one 'onion' and 58 freely available fireworks. A third person was arrested after being found in possession of 5 improvised weapons and 200 'rendini'. Also in Torre del Greco an arrest and a seizure of 40 'rendini'. Also in Torre del Greco, an arrest on December 30 for the possession of 156 large firecrackers. In Torre Annunziata, however, two men were arrested yesterday for possession of 2.453 explosive devices (1651 of which were home-made). In the north of the province of Naples, the first three arrests were in Casandrino with the seizure of 80 'onions', 28 'rendini', 78 large and 42 small canisters as well as 2 and a half kilos of freely available fireworks. In Casalnuovo di Napoli a man was arrested for 165 'onions' and 20 'rendini': a total of 40 kilos of merchandise. Yesterday the Carabinieri seized 6.526 fireworks, 120 of which were homemade, arresting those who were holding them. Then two arrests in Qualiano: a man who had 200 'rendini' and 200 sticks and another found in possession of 90 sticks, 24 'rendini', an 'onion' and a Neapolitan battery. A complaint was also filed in Somma Vesuviana for the possession of 17 kilos of legal pyrotechnic material and a mortar shell. In Villaricca, 3 people were reported, while 434 homemade fireworks and 761 firecrackers were seized. And Marigliano saw an arrest for illegal possession of 4 kilos of fireworks and a complaint with the seizure of 105 homemade firecrackers along with 9 batteries. Among the operations of the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Naples in the month of December, in Sant'Anastasia, 79 batteries were seized from unknown persons. In Marano di Napoli, there was an arrest for the possession of 151 firecrackers. In Casandrino, a 40-year-old was arrested for possessing 146 'rendini'; another man for possessing 25 home-made explosive devices.
