First batch of checks in public places, by the Carabinieri of the provincial command of Naples, to discover traders who serve or sell alcoholic beverages to minors. The Carabinieri of the central company and the Campania regiment have fined, for having served alcohol to minors, the owners of two premises on vico Lungo Teatro Nuovo, the owner of a premises in the Montecalvario area and that of a wine shop in Piazza Monteoliveto. 7 cases were ascertained, each of which was prosecuted with a fine of 300 euros.
Not far away, right in Piazza Monteoliveto and Piazza del Gesù, the military caught and reported to the prefecture 6 young people found in possession of hashish, cocaine and marijuana in small quantities. In Vicoletto Belledonne the carabinieri reported for disturbing the occupations or rest of people the owner of a bar in which they were playing disco music at high volume beyond the permitted hours.
Further down, on via Riviera di Chiaia, an illegal parking attendant was fined. In Vomero, the company and the Campania regiment found the irregularity in 3 places. In two pubs and in a rotisserie, the soldiers caught the shopkeepers red-handed serving beers to 16 and 17-year-olds. The violation was repeated with 9 boys, therefore as many fines were issued. Furthermore, between via Luca Giordano, in via Rossini, via Scarlatti, in Rione Alto, in piazza Medaglie d'oro and in piazza Immacolata, the carabinieri of the Vomero company caught 10 users, more than half of whom were minors, in possession of marijuana and cocaine for personal use. The boys were reported to the prefect and 17 grams of marijuana and one of cocaine were seized.
