Naples, madness in Vomero: 15 stopped while damaging a building with a telescopic truncheon: 'I wanted to try it'

On the night of Saturday to Sunday, a 15-year-old from the plains was hanging out on via rossini with a group of friends, all minors, and was having fun swinging truncheons at the wall of a building. While he was doing so, he was noticed by the Carabinieri of the Vomero company engaged in a plainclothes service who immediately reached him and stopped him.

He explained the gesture by saying that "the truncheon wasn't his, a friend had given it to him and he was trying it out". He was identified and reported for unjustified possession of objects capable of causing offence, then the carabinieri summoned his parents to the barracks to return their son to them. The telescopic truncheon, made of metal, about 40 centimetres long, was seized.
