Naples: the nativity scene becomes a film with 'La Scarabattola'

In the coming days, a nativity scene in Naples will come to life, narrating the magical world of "La Scarabattola" from the film "La Notte della Stella," one of approximately sixty projects funded by the Campania Region as part of the Cinema Development Plan. "La Scarabattola" is a nativity scene art workshop located in the historic center, on Via Tribunali. It will be in its premises that sculptors, seamstresses, and set designers will begin work on an ambitious audiovisual project, immediately after Epiphany. The idea stems from the young production company Dorado, which has engaged the Virtuosi di San Martino for the musical backing. The project, the promoters emphasize, "reinforces the trend of recent years that has increasingly made Naples a hotbed of new artistic talent and a hub for artistic cross-fertilization. In this case, even the centuries-old art of nativity scenes combined with modern technology."
