The recovery and restoration work in Piazza Arcangelo Scacchi has just been completed thanks to UNESCO funding, as the square is an integral part of the historic center of Naples, declared a World Heritage Site in 1995, and the area is already severely degraded due to the presence of a huge pile of waste. Regional Councilor of the Sole che ride Francesco Emilio Borrelli, indignant about this situation, accuses: "We always appeal to the lack of services, to the dysfunctions of ASIA, which also exist, but here the real protagonist is incivility. We have the largest historic center in Europe, among the most beautiful in the world, and instead of enhancing and preserving it we reduce it to a landfill, we mortify it.
