Illegal workshop discovered in Vesuvius National Park: 3 reported

As part of the services carried out to combat environmental crimes, yesterday the Carabinieri of the Terzigno station discovered an illegal workshop in the Vesuvius National Park.
A 71-year-old woman from Pompei, a 54-year-old man from Torre Annunziata and a 37-year-old woman from Santa Maria la Carità had built a car repair shop in a warehouse in Pozzelle without having any authorization to do so; as a result, the hazardous special waste was disposed of in an untraceable manner, i.e. by being dumped in the environment. During the check, the military also found the carcass of a stolen SUV. The 3 were therefore reported for receiving stolen goods and illegal disposal of waste. The area was seized.
