The path for disabled people that will guarantee a visit to the Basilica in the Paestum Archaeological Park, in the province of Salerno, was reopened today after the redevelopment. The initiative took place in the morning in the presence of the mayor of Capaccio-Paestum Franco Alfieri and a representation of the Unitalsi subsection of Paestum. After an experimental phase, the new project includes further improvements for the use of the monument that dates back to the 6th century BC. The director of the Park Zuchtriegel was satisfied and declared: "An experiment with eyes covered convinced me that even for the partially sighted and blind, a visit to the temple can be an enriching and unique experience. We will continue to break down barriers of all kinds, not least the mental ones that sometimes prevent us from seeing another world, inclusive and open, which is possible, if we want it. I thank all those who supported us on this journey, first and foremost the associations and people with disabilities, but also our assistants who with the “Paestum per tutti” journey have given knowledge and happiness to thousands of visitors”.
