A minor accident involving soccer player Mario Balotelli's car this morning at dawn has sparked a fake news story online, creating a minor stir. The story goes that, around 6:00 a.m., the Brescia striker's Fiat 500 Abarth, driven by a friend (the athlete was a passenger), slammed its wheels onto the pavement during a moment of inattention, leaving the car disabled. The incident occurred just meters from Balotelli's home, where, after walking to the house, the player instructed someone to call a tow truck to remove the car. Meanwhile, news of a real accident involving Balotelli began spreading online, and images of a partially destroyed Ferrari were posted to support this false claim. In reality, the photos refer to an accident that occurred two days ago in the Desenzano del Garda area. At the time of the crash, the player was also on a training camp in Rome with Brescia.
