Pomigliano, 200 tires in the open countryside: garage owner reported

The forestry carabinieri of the Marigliano station and the radiomobile section of Castello di Cisterna have reported the owner of a tire repair shop for illegal waste management.

Some citizens had reported the presence of many tires abandoned on a piece of land in Pomigliano d'arco. The military found 200 tires exposed to the elements and in a state of abandonment. The first investigations allowed them to ascertain that the hazardous special waste had been abandoned by a 47-year-old, owner of a garage not far from the land. The man apparently apologized, telling the police that he would dispose of the tires once the Christmas holidays were over. The area was seized and the owner reported. The owner of the land also ended up in trouble and was reported at large for illegal management of waste in competition.
