Pompeii, over a thousand roses for the Virgin of the Rosary

A wreath of over a thousand roses, donated by the Consorzio Produttori Florovivaisti Campani and Gaia Florum, was placed by the Fire Brigade at the foot of the statue of the Madonna del Rosario located on the facade of the Sanctuary of Pompeii. The traditional appointment of January 1st is renewed.

A crowd of faithful attended the ceremony that characterizes the “Solemnity of Mary Most Holy Mother of God”. After the Holy Mass celebrated at 11.00:5 in the Basilica by Monsignor Tommaso Caputo, the rite of floral homage to the statue of the Madonna del Rosario was renewed, inaugurated on May 1901, XNUMX and dedicated, by the will of Blessed Bartolo Longo, to universal peace.

Also for 2020, the Consorzio Produttori Florovivaisti Campani and Gaia Florum donated over a thousand roses to the Peace Committee, which were used to compose the wreath where the word Pax stands out.

"This year too we have not failed to support the initiative that characterizes the first day of the year. A good omen and a wish for this 2020 that will see us engaged in new challenges aimed at the development and promotion of our territory" - explains the president of the Consortium, Vincenzo Malafronte, who attended the ceremony together with some representatives of the Consorzio Produttori Florovivaisti Campani and Gaia Florum.
