Investigations are underway in Aversa by the State Police to identify the perpetrator of the wounding of the 19-year-old girl, hit in the abdomen by a stray bullet while she was celebrating New Year's Eve on the balcony with her family. The episode occurred on the road that connects Aversa to the municipality of Teverola, almost on the border between the two centers. The bullet that wounded the 19-year-old entered the abdomen, stopping at the height of the buttock. The police officers of the Aversa police station led by Vincenzo Gallozzi, have ascertained the presence of other warheads, a sign that whoever shot did so several times; furthermore, given the dynamics, it is almost certain that the bullets were fired from above, probably from a building located in front of the one where the 19-year-old was.
The 19-year-old, who is not in danger of dying, will undergo surgery tomorrow. "It is shameful that there are still people firing gunshots at the end of the year. I hope that the police investigation is quick and that whoever pulled that damned trigger is brought to justice." This is how the mayor of Aversa, Alfonso Golia, commented on what happened during the night. "In the face of total disregard for the rules and civil coexistence - added the mayor of Aversa - it is difficult to find adequate expressions. I hope that the injured girl can return to her normal life as soon as possible" concluded Golia.
