Arrested for improper robbery. On Epiphany Day, officers from the Rimini police station arrested CG, a 37-year-old from Caserta, who was caught trying to steal a bicycle.
At 17 pm, the operations room received a report that in Piazza Cavour in Rimini there had been an attempted theft of a bicycle, regularly locked in the parking spaces and that the perpetrator, once discovered by some witnesses on the spot as well as by the applicant (always in telephone contact with the radio operator) had fled towards Via Gambalunga in the direction of the station. The officers promptly began their search for the subject in the indicated area, thanks to the detailed description of the applicant for intervention.
CG was found immediately and in addition to immediately admitting to having tried to steal a bicycle, he reported that, having been discovered by some passers-by, he had left it there after cutting the chain that secured it to the rack. In an inside pocket of the jacket worn by CG, a metal cutter and a metal cutter were found. The person requesting the intervention recognized the arrested person as the one who shortly before had been stopped by an unknown boy while he was trying to steal a bicycle.
At that moment the criminal decided to try to escape but was blocked by the young man who, without physically touching him, stood in front of him, denying him the right to escape and asking him at least to return the vehicle to the place where he had picked it up. The 37-year-old, in order to escape, pushed the boy and managed to escape, but was immediately intercepted by the police and arrested.
