A 120 Euro BMW Stolen from a Spanish Tourist: Found in Cercola. Two Reported

As part of the targeted services aimed at combating crime and in particular the receiving of stolen goods and subsequent national and international recycling of high-end vehicles, personnel from the Judicial Police Team of the Highway Police Department for Campania and Basilicata, in Cercola, following intense search and stakeout activities, found and seized a BMW X7 car with Spanish license plate 5691lbc worth €1200000 (one hundred and twenty thousand) resulting from a theft that occurred in Naples to the detriment of a Spanish citizen, and also proceeded to seize a real technical laboratory equipped with sophisticated electronic equipment useful for counterfeiting and creating car chassis and vehicle identification plates.

In this case, on the same day in which the complaint of the Spanish citizen was received, personnel of the judicial police team undertook a tight investigative information activity together with a series of stakeouts in the Cercola area, which allowed within a few hours to find the luxury car hidden in a fenced area of ​​that municipality. The stakeout and observation activity allowed to identify the material user of the area, a certain MAS class of '76, resident in Casalnuovo di Napoli, with several criminal records for specific crimes and the criminal IF class of '88 resident in Pomigliano D'Arco, subsequently found to be an accomplice of the former.

The staff broke into the area where, following a thorough search, they found, in addition to the stolen luxury vehicle, a very well-equipped laboratory with sophisticated electronic equipment inside (computerized numerically controlled engravers, brass sheet metal, computers, punches and matrices of all types and shapes, etc.) capable of faithfully reproducing the frames and identification plates of stolen vehicles for the purpose of reintroducing them onto the legal market.

Following the brilliant operation, the stolen vehicle and the entire laboratory were seized while the two individuals were reported at liberty. Given the extent and investigative importance of the seized material, further and substantial investigations are underway in order to bring to light the responsibilities and/or membership in the group of other individuals of the organization involved in receiving stolen goods and laundering vehicles of considerable economic value.
