For the correct purchase of items on sale, the provincial president of Confesercenti Caserta Salvatore Petrella recalls some basic principles. And we start with exchanges: the possibility of exchanging the item after it has been purchased is generally left to the discretion of the retailer, unless the product is damaged or non-compliant. In this case, the retailer is obliged to repair or replace the item and, if this is impossible, to reduce or refund the price paid. However, the buyer is required to report the defect of the item within two months of the date of discovery of the defect. Then the items are tried on, for which there is no obligation. It is left to the discretion of the retailer. As for payments, however, credit cards must be accepted by the retailer. And again: the items that are offered on sale must be seasonal or fashionable and be susceptible to significant depreciation if not sold within a certain period of time. However, nothing prevents you from also selling items that do not belong to the current season. The retailer is obliged to indicate the normal and final selling price, in addition to the discount.
