Advanced Training Course in Criminology and Forensics Science (CFS), at
the headquarters of the Winform Academy of Salerno, in Via Volontari della Libertà, 56.
Criminology, as a science, took its first steps during the Enlightenment,
during the 18th century, driven by the positivist model. Over the centuries, the
The Science of Criminology has not stopped growing and refining its
skills, to the point of establishing itself as a valid support in jurisprudence.
Although Italian legislation does not yet recognize the criminologist as a
professional figure in all respects, the contribution that the expert professional in
criminology is able to contribute to the courtrooms and to the various fields in which
can operate is of absolute value.
The Course is open to all the different figures that revolve around the very broad field
of Criminology, which, by its very nature, brings together various disciplines:
from neuroscience to sociology and jurisprudence. To access the
course, in fact, you must have a Master's Degree (or a Bachelor's Degree)
four-year degree course of the old system) in Law, Sociological Sciences,
Psychology, Anthropological and Social Sciences, Forensic Medicine, Psychiatry or
Cognitive Neuroscience. Alternatively, registrations are also open to professionals
of the police forces.
CFS is a High Training course in Criminology created entirely on
Campania region, thanks to the organizing committee headed by Dr.
Valentina Monda and can count on a teaching staff made up of highly qualified professionals, renowned at a national level. The scientific committee, in fact, led
under the direction of Prof. Barbara Calabrese, former university professor, is
composed of eleven leading personalities in the world of jurisprudence,
psychology and neuroscience, including Professor Caterina De Falco, already
engaged as a teacher at various first and second level Masters in
major Italian universities. “The strong point of our educational path”, he
said Dr. Caterina De Falco, former lecturer at various master's degrees
both first and second level training, "is the awareness of the importance of the
method in the approach to a science too often misunderstood and yet
extraordinarily creative, whose countless applications, through
rigorous, but still critical, procedures can profoundly and
positively impact social evolution”.
Over the course of twenty lessons that will take place throughout 2020, the following topics will be touched upon:
various topics: from the history of Criminology and criminal procedural science,
up to how to trace Criminal Profiling through handwriting analysis: the
Crime scene graphology.
CFS is proposed as a valid and complete High Training Course, which aims
provide its members with the most suitable tools to delve into a field
professional so innovative. Passing the final exam, in fact, will be
sufficient requirement to register in the National Register of Criminologists, register
promoted by the UNINTESS Institute and recognized by the European Society of
Criminology. “Very often I find myself considering the contents of other courses, but I
I realize that I find a lack of content to offer to those who approach
a seemingly fascinating world,” said Professor Barbara
Calabrese, a nationally renowned sociologist and Scientific Director of CFS. “The world of criminology,” she continues, “needs to be reinterpreted in detail and
in the types of subjects to be studied. Our teaching staff, widely
prepared and multidisciplinary, is able to respond to the needs of
professionals who are approaching this world for the first time. A Course
Thus systematized, it provides the necessary tools to those who intend to make it
a real profession and not a nomenclature one as often happens”.
Registration for CFS will close on February 28, 2020.
