Initial results have been achieved under the new direction of the Caserta Local Health Authority (ASL), launched by Ferdinando Russo, the agency's General Director appointed last summer. The manager has implemented a management strategy that is bearing fruit, thanks in part to a nationwide survey to address long-standing issues he encountered upon taking office. One of the new additions in 2020 concerns the General Surgery team at Maddaloni Hospital (Caserta), where a new member was recently added: Dr. Salvatore Salvemini, a young and talented surgeon from the Marcianise Hospital (Caserta). Dr. Salvemini's professional profile is highly specialized, with experience in lung and thoracic oncology surgery, video-thoracoscopic surgery, as well as general and emergency surgery. The author of several scientific publications, Salvemini has also spoken at major medical conferences and refresher courses on the most modern surgical techniques. His consistently demonstrated commitment to work, along with his technical expertise and experience, will undoubtedly allow us to further improve and develop the already excellent and highly regarded General Surgery department at Maddaloni Hospital. Staffing changes are expected within the Caserta healthcare system in the coming weeks.
