'Under the Rain', the debut single from Berlino84

“Sotto la pioggia” is Berlino84's debut single for the MeltinaRecords label.
With indie/pop influences, some shades of the past condensed in acoustic sounds and analog synths with a retro effect, the single was born in Verona and talks about the desire of two guys who live far from their home of origin but who share the same – new – roof. Only together do they find the strength to face problems and every obstacle is put into perspective, because when you are far away you can't lean on anyone except those who are next to you.

Fabio Gaetano Picciocchi, aka BERLINO84, was born in Basel to immigrant parents on 16/11/1984. Since he was a child, eclectic and hyperactive, he listened to the great Italian singer-songwriters, underlining the words and repeating the melodies. Given his already mature musical taste, he decided to approach music after his mother enrolled him in a piano course at the age of 7. At 11 he began attending the music conservatory where he studied until he was 17, before abandoning it and immersing himself in the pop genre. At the age of 18 he began his approach to writing, creating a song whose inspiration came from the death of a dear friend, to whom he dedicated it. Also at 18 he began to pick up the guitar to feel more musically complete, and it was during this period that he approached and began to love David Bowie's Berlin musical period. Now the name Berlino84 was born. Besides David Bowie, in the same period he began to listen again to Italian singer-songwriters, and more precisely, Dalla and De Andrè, of whom he would rearrange some songs that he would play live with his band.
Shortly after, in June 2019, the meeting with the producer Alessandro Cecconi of MeltinaRecords who sensed that in him there was a complete artist with a strong personality and a very original writing ability. So they decided to put themselves on the line by giving life to the first official single SOTTO LA PIOGGIA which was also proposed at Musicultura 2020 where it is still competing. “Sotto la pioggia” also opened the doors to the Notte Bianca in Naples which took place on January 5th in front of 10.000 people. Among the projects for this 2020 is that of giving life to an album of 8/9 tracks that can fully represent him.
