The Carabinieri of the Grumo Nevano and Casandrino stations, together with those of the Investigative Unit of the Environmental, Agri-food and Forestry Police of Naples have reported a 40-year-old from the Neapolitan neighborhood of Barra, already known to the police, for mixing hazardous waste.
Owner of a waste recovery and storage company, the 40-year-old had amassed 1500 cubic meters of hazardous special waste in a warehouse of approximately 1000 square meters.
Body parts, radiators, alloy wheels, engine heads, shock absorbers, oil filters and cables piled up in violation of environmental regulations.

A similar fate befell a ferrous material recovery and disposal company in Grumo Nevano, whose owner, a 42-year-old from Sant'Arpino who was also known to the police, did not comply with the regulations regarding waste storage.
According to what was ascertained, there were discrepancies in the placement of the waste compared to the areas designated for storage and the obstructed water collection grids did not allow the regular flow of the waste.
The two entrepreneurs were given heavy fines of several thousand euros.
