With a fake identity card (reporting the victim's data and the 40-year-old's photo), the three criminals opened a postal current account into which they transferred the sum of approximately 50 thousand euros from the unfortunate woman's postal savings book, leaving her only a few pennies. Once the transfer was completed, within a few days the gang made various withdrawals, Postepay top-ups and purchases with online transfers, for a total of approximately 42 thousand euros.
But the Carabinieri of the Andretta Station interrupted that unlikely series of fraudulent operations: following an information-investigative activity, they identified and blocked the three criminals who had just gone to the Post Office, presumably in an attempt to carry out yet another operation.
Taken to the Barracks, the aforementioned were therefore reported at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Avellino. Furthermore, given the unlawfulness of the conduct carried out, a proposal was forwarded to them for the issuance of the preventive measure of the Mandatory Exit Notice.
Both the identity card and the health card, both cleverly counterfeited, used by the trio to carry out their criminal plan, were seized.
