A crew from Videoinformazioni, a news agency producing television news reports, was attacked in San Felice a Cancello in the province of Caserta, where the reporters had gone to cover the operations of firefighters and the Metropolitan Police, who discovered a veritable "lake of waste" in a disused quarry. Upon arriving on the scene, the two journalists, videographer Alessandro Jovane and agency manager Pierpaolo Petino, were approached by several people at the entrance to the quarry's garage, pushed them, and punched them. Jovane, who was punched in the face, was called to an ambulance and is taking him to the nearby Maddaloni hospital. Jovane explained that he moved toward the attackers to help Petino, who had been pushed to the ground by one of the bystanders, but that he was struck as soon as he approached the group.
