The first two convictions have arrived for the investigation into false amnesties at the Municipality of Maddaloni. The judges have inflicted 4 years on the surveyor of the Municipality Michele Della Peruta and 2 years on the technician Michele Pietropaolo. Rosa Iovene, however, has been acquitted.
Della Peruta and Pietropaolo ended up under investigation for the crimes of undue inducement to give or promise benefits and aggravated fraud at the end of an investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere that began after a private citizen's complaint in 2015 in which he had reported how Della Peruta and Pietropaolo had asked for a bribe of 5000 euros for the release of the building amnesty.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the two were able to falsify payments thanks to a fake payment slip from the 80s that was systematically used to falsify the practices.
