2020 is set to be one of the most important years for all video game enthusiasts. The reason? Simple, there will be many more releases than in 2019, but above all it will be the launch on the market of the new generation consoles of Microsoft and Sony to completely revolutionize this market.
Le video game reviews of 2019 and previous years have highlighted how the sector has evolved a lot, but with the arrival of these new generation consoles, things could change once again. Clearly, everyone expects top quality features, in addition to a first-rate graphic department.
The 2020 releases that fans are most excited about
The big debut of The Last of Us Part II. Initially, February was rumored as the release date for the PS4 console, but it was later pushed back to late May. There is no doubt that this title is one of the most anticipated of all of 2020: N did a great job, with a gameplay path that received a very specific setting five years after the very violent epilogue of the first chapter.
Another particularly anticipated video game certainly responds to the name of Elden Ring, developed in collaboration with From Software and Bandai Namco. So far not much information has been released about this new one, but it seems quite likely that it could finally be launched on the market in the next few months and, as it seems from the latest rumors, June could be the right month. According to what Miyazaki reported, Elden Ring will be a Open world RPG, with a dark gameplay path, which will maintain the core of the titles proposed over the last few years by From Software.
Another video game that many fans are eagerly awaiting in 2020 goes by the name of Doom Eternal. It is one of the titles with the closest release date, since it will hit the market during the next month of March. In reality, even in this case, there was a delay, since it should have already been seen in stores in November 2019.
Doom Eternal seems to want to continue the path of the reboot of the series of 2016, which had raised the bar and expectations for first-person shooters. The metal soundtrack is probably one of the best things ever seen in a video game and the gameplay oozes violence and blood.
From Resident Evil 3 to Final Fantasy VII Remake
April 3 should be the turn of Resident Evil 3: this is a remake of the second chapter, on which Capcom is banking a lot. The original experience from 1999 has clearly been the subject of various updates, while the technical sector has undergone a real revolution. The proposal of a very interesting over the shoulder camera, a true third-person shooter. A game where you will have to play as Jill Valentine, exactly one day before what happened in Resident Evil 2.
A little further on, on April 16th, it will be available on the market Cyberpunk 2077. This is a brand new RPG game which is made by the CD Projet Red team, leaving aside the fantasy side to take a real leap into the future, in the name of technology, but also of a lot of robotics within the well-known city of Night City.
Finally, there is also space for another project on which he is working with great commitment Square Enix: we are referring to Final Fantasy VII Remake. This is a title that was released way back in 1997 for the PlayStation console and is making its return on the fourth generation of the console in a completely exclusive way, with completely renewed graphics and an episodic distribution.
