Gerardo Galluccio, 13, who attacked his ex-partner with a hammer in the center of Avellino, was sentenced to 57 years in prison. The first-instance sentence was issued by the Court of the Irpinia capital. The woman, a 37-year-old, was rescued by the former Avellino Calcio striker, Raffaele Biancolino.
The victim was repeatedly hit on the head with a hammer. Galluccio, defended by the lawyer Alberico Villani, tried to apologize to his ex-partner for that serious fact. He was convicted of mistreatment, injuries and threats.
