Minister Lucia Azzolina signed, yesterday, the Decree with which funds are allocated for the strengthening of distance learning. The suspension of teaching activities to avoid contagion has forced students to stay at home. However, the need to continue teaching activities was a priority. Schools, with the support of the Government, have provided innovative teaching methods. Among these, distance learning and lessons through personal computers or other highly connected devices. However, there are those who are not familiar with the network or have difficulties related to insufficient connection or, even, difficulty in obtaining IT equipment necessary for distance learning.
Faced with these particular problems, the Government has allocated 85 million euros.
490.834,77 euros are the resources to be distributed among the schools of Giugliano with the following subdivision:
• €202.406,34 in Giugliano in Campania divided among its 17 school buildings (Basile, E. De Filippo, San Rocco, Don Giuseppe Diana, 5° Circolo, Di Giacomo, 8° Circolo, Levi Montalcini, IPSCT Minzoni, Guglielmo Marconi, Gramsci-Impastato, GB Basile, Don S.Vitale, De Carlo, Renato Cartesio, L.Galvani): €23.825,31 for digital platforms and tools, €166.668,35 for digital devices and network connectivity, €11.912,68 for training of school staff;
• €86.842,15 to Sant'Antimo divided between its 7 school buildings (Giovanni XXIII, G. Leopardi, D. Lorenzo Milani, IC 4 Pestalozzi, IC 1 Romeo, G.Moscati, Laura Bassi): €9.609,56 for digital platforms and tools, €72.427,80 for digital devices and network connectivity and €4.804,79 for training of school staff;
• €55.925,79 to Melito di Napoli divided between its 5 school complexes (Falcone, De Curtis, Ten. L. Mauriello, Guarano and Immanuel Kant): €6.133,07 for digital platforms and tools, €46.726,19 for digital devices and network connectivity and €3.066,53 for training of school staff;
• €48.035 in Villaricca divided between its 79 school complexes (G. Rodari, IC Calvino, Ada Negri and G. Siani): €4 for digital platforms and tools, €5.61438 for digital devices and network connectivity and €39.614,21 for training of school staff;
• €39.968,09 in Qualiano divided between its 3 school buildings (Rione Principe, Bosco Verdi and Di Giacomo 3 S. Chiara): €4.665,30 for digital platforms and tools, €33.119,35 for digital devices and network connectivity and €2.327,64 for training of school staff;
• €32.556,48 to Mugnano di Napoli divided between its 3 school complexes (Sequino Capuologo, Giancarlo Siaio and Illuminato-Cirino): €3.764,23 for digital platforms and tools, €26.910,13 for digital devices and network connectivity and €1.882,12 for training of school staff;
• €13.354,59 to Casandrino for the Marconi-Torricelli institute: €1.477,39 for digital platforms and tools, €11.138,51 for digital devices and network connectivity and €738,69 for training of school staff;
• €11.611,34 in Calvizzano for the Marco Polo institute: €1.387,93 for digital platforms and tools, €9.529,44 for digital devices and network connectivity and €693,97 for training of school staff.
To reduce the learning gap, the Minister of Education has prepared measures to distribute resources to individual schools, to strengthen distance learning platforms and to provide the same institutions with technological tools.
The resources are a total of 85 million euros for the year 2020 and are intended for:
• 10.000.000,00 euros to enable state schools to immediately equip themselves with e-learning platforms and digital tools useful for distance learning, or to enhance those already in place, in compliance with accessibility criteria for people with disabilities;
• 70.000.000,00 euros to make available to less well-off students, on free loan, individual devices for the use of digital platforms and tools, as well as for the necessary network connectivity;
• 5.000.000,00 euros to train school staff on distance learning methodologies and techniques.

"With the digital funds - concludes the Hon. Micillo - we want to promote access to the right to education. In this way we try to remove every obstacle to school accessibility".
