They chased and stabbed two young men in Piazza Bellini in Naples: two men arrested for double attempted murder, a third suspect wanted.
This morning two men aged 30 and 35, believed by the Carabinieri to be the perpetrators of the stabbing, were arrested on charges of attempted murder, committed with the use of knives, aggravated by trivial reasons. The episode, which also involved a third person who is now wanted, occurred after a fight over trivial reasons that broke out in a club in Piazza Bellini, an area of the city where the Neapolitan nightlife is concentrated. The phases of the attack were recorded by the video surveillance systems in the area: it was precisely those images that incriminated the attackers who, after the raid, calmly returned to Piazza Bellini, as if nothing had happened. The military personnel of the Arma interviewed both the victims and their friends, and acquired the footage from the cameras in the area, reconstructing in detail the salient moments of the chase and the attack. Analysis of the footage allowed them to identify two of the attackers who had acted with their faces uncovered; one of them had been checked, a few days after the brutal attack, again in Piazza Bellini.
