Castellammare di Stabia, with phase 2 the pollution of the Sarno returns. Verdi: "Continuous monitoring and controls are needed. We must wage war on those who pollute our territory."
Lhe end of the lockdown coincides with the resumption of pollution of the Sarno river waters. A few hours after the start of phase 2 of the health emergency, the waters of the Sarno, in the Stabia area, are once again turning yellow and appearing as dirty as in pre-emergency times.
"Now there has only been a partial reopening of production activities and already pollution has picked up again, imagine what could happen when all activities resume. For this reason we ask that constant monitoring of the waters be carried out in order to keep pollution under control and understand which area is most affected by spills" - says Marilena Schiano Lo Moriello, Commissioner of the Greens in Castellammare.
"Unfortunately, what we had foreseen is happening and it was immediate. To defend our territory we must aggressively attack those who carry out illegal dumping, we need constant controls and exemplary punishments for criminals who pollute the environment. Zero tolerance for these individuals." - continued the Regional Councilor of the sun that laughs Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
