Two more victims of coronavirus in Ischia in less than twelve hours, both guests of Villa Mercede, the retirement home in Serrara Fontana which has 34 cases of infection to date.
Between yesterday evening and this morning, two elderly residents of the Ischian RSA died within a few hours; the women, after contracting the virus, had been transferred to the Covid-19 ward of the Rizzoli hospital due to the worsening of their health conditions.
The number of victims of the virus in Ischia thus rises to five: 4 of these were guests of Villa Mercede, an infectious cluster linked to that of the La Schiana hospital in Pozzuoli where another guest of the Serrara Fontana nursing home had passed through who died and later resulted infected in the swab performed post mortem.
