In 40 days (from March 19 to April 30) 160 people made donations to ASL Napoli 2 Nord for a value of over 400.000 euros, both through payments into the company's current account, through fundraising platforms, and by delivering materials and technologies to hospitals and company facilities.
S105 people made donations to the Company's current account for a value of 88.000 euros, the minimum amount was 10 euros, while one company made a donation of 20 thousand euros. In addition, two different fundraisers through the fundraising platform Gofundme.com guaranteed a donation of 10.000 euros for the Pozzuoli hospital and a second of 13.000 euros for the entire ASL. In recent days, a company also delivered 5 lung ventilators to the ASL for a value of 50.000 euros and a supply of masks. Directly from China, instead, at the beginning of April a shipment of Ffp2 masks arrived for a value of approximately 90.000 euros. Significant donations were made in materials, services and money by individuals, associations or companies. At the Rizzoli in Ischia, the Federalberghi of the Phlegraean Islands delivered a machine to carry out serological tests, a charitable association made an ambulance available to accompany the medical team that treats Covid patients at home, a foundation donated a portable ultrasound scanner and a group of citizens guaranteed an extra supply of masks, suits and visors to the health workers at the Rizzoli.
Furthermore, a hotelier has made his own facility available to host patients who, although they no longer require hospital medical care, cannot be discharged because they are still positive for the virus. In Giugliano, a company donated two air sanitizers to the hospital, so as to reduce the bacterial and viral load in some rooms. Several companies have also provided free services to the hospital. In Frattamaggiore, several dental and medical practices have delivered masks and protective material to the San Giovanni di Dio hospital. Finally, the Santa Maria delle Grazie has received several donations of protective materials from private citizens and companies. Furthermore, the Pozzuoli hospital has been the facility that has received the most donations to the current account set up by the ASL: 18.639 euros. The company will soon update the reporting of donations and indicate the destinations of what has been received.
