"Checks at a highway barrier are not easy, we trust in the sense of responsibility of the citizens who will return. I am worried because Caserta is approaching zero contagion and we do not want this situation to deteriorate". This is how Ferdinando Russo, general director of the ASL of Caserta, expresses his concerns in view of tomorrow when there will be the green light for the return to their homes of Campanians who live in other regions.
"The problem," Russo says, "is the passage with the Telepass, the cars do not stop. For this reason, in the meetings held in recent days with the Prefecture, the toll booths of Caserta Sud, Caserta Nord, Capua, Caianiello and Santa Maria Capua Vetere were planned, with medical support in addition to the highway and law enforcement personnel. We had made the proposal three days ago to be able to track the cars, because from the toll you can understand their origin, but they told us that it was not a practicable procedure. At this point it would be desirable to carry out checks at the entrance in the various municipalities, I am thinking of Marcianise, but also Afragola, Casoria, and Naples." For those returning by car, therefore, much is entrusted to the sense of individual responsibility: "On the ASL email - adds Russo - we have received about 15 self-certifications from people who notify us of their return, I hope that everyone realizes that they must notify the competent ASL to avoid putting the lives of their family members at risk. I remember that in Caserta since April 20, the recovered have exceeded the positives and today we have 424 positives, 262 recovered, 120 active and 42 deceased. An extraordinarily favorable condition and we do not want it to be wasted. We are moving towards zero contagion, in the last seven days for three days we have had zero positives ".
