Avellino: “Although the opening of the Covid Hospital was an excellent organizational choice since it allowed the separation of Covid and non-Covid pathways, we are here to denounce the confusion generated by some incomprehensible choices of the Strategic Management”.
"Let's talk first of all about the organization of the nursing staff and the management of the various Areas of the Covid Hospital to which, as a priority, specific personnel had to be assigned. At present, the Yellow Area has been closed for several weeks; the Green Area has been opened and closed as if it were a shutter (see for example the closure and temporary reactivation of two beds on April 30)".
Fewer beds guaranteed than announced
"The Red Area, which was supposed to be used only for Intensive Care patients, has a mix of intubated and autonomous patients. Currently, only 13 intensive care beds managed by the Resuscitation staff are active in the Covid Hospital. The newly hired nursing staff, initially allocated to the remaining areas of the former Palazzina Alpi, are now located in the various non-Covid UU.OO of the
Hospital City”
"A facility inaugurated to provide 52 beds, currently guarantees just 23. We ask to provide a form of economic incentive for the Nurses of the Covid Hospital. We also ask for a fixed organic provision of healthcare personnel assigned to the various Areas of the Building in order to avoid promiscuity of patients as unfortunately is happening in this last period. We urge the Strategic Management to implement urgent organizational interventions as soon as possible that bring order to the excessive confusion generated so far".
