The hitmen of little Noemi on Tik Tok call for respect and freedom. There are also those who are 'publicly honored to have them as brothers'. Borrelli: "It is absurd that they are on social media from prison, that they have not shown repentance and that they do not feel ashamed for what they have done. We ask for a very harsh sentence".
“Exactly one year ago, in a Camorra ambush in Piazza Nazionale, the two killers (still presumed by law) Armando and Antonio Del Re, fired gunshots to kill their target. Little Noemi was in the trajectory, and was hit by a bullet in the back. Only thanks to the extraordinary work of the Santobono doctors did Noemi survive. To date, exactly one year after the incident, the two killers have shown no sign of repentance, no apologies. Indeed, they are shamefully immortalized on the social network Tik Tok by a user (perhaps a family member or a friend), who says he is 'honored to have them as brothers'. Several citizens have reported this horrible video to us where they laugh carefree. Instead of publicly feeling ashamed, of repenting, from prison they are seen almost as the good guys. It's scandalous. Not only no sign of repentance, but even exaltation and criminal pride, all made public on social media”. Francesco Emilio Borrelli, regional councilor of the Greens, declared this after reports arrived from numerous citizens.
“One wonders how it is possible that two convicts can be on social media so easily. While the healthy part of our community remembers one of the most horrible and cowardly events in our history, these criminals boast. And all this while little Noemi, because of them, will still have to undergo several operations before she can remove the brace and return to her everyday life. We hope for very harsh sentences and in a short time for the Del Re brothers. Today I spoke with the little girl's father to express closeness and affection. Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus, the second hearing of the trial has already been postponed twice (first scheduled for April, then for May). The date is now set for June 9: we ask for certainty of punishment and severity, out of respect for Noemi, her family and all honest people”.
