Phase 2: 'Cartella no problem', appeals against unjust fines. A pool of accountants and lawyers are in the field in Naples to contest the sanctions imposed on citizens during the lockdown period.
“It is estimated that we have over 500 thousand fines imposed so far, throughout Italy, to citizens who have violated the provisions on coronavirus quarantine. Thousands in all Italian regions, almost all issued by traffic police, traffic wardens or Guardia di Finanza, for reasons that in most cases are understandable. However, there has been no shortage of “absurd” fines or those considered unfair by the media and by citizens themselves, with some cases that have caused much discussion. In many cases, however, even in Campania, as in the rest of Italy, the “unfair” fines or the result of “misunderstandings” with the police, have gone unnoticed. With serious economic damage to people already in economic difficulty due to the lockdown for fines that are still between 300 and 1000 euros”. This is what the representatives of the 'Cartella no problem' pool underline.
“Phase 2 of the Covid-19 emergency has begun, the Cartella no problem pool – it is written in a note – is taking action to defend citizens. Anyone who believes they have been subjected to an unjust sanction can defend themselves with a 'defense document'. The Cartella no problem experts ask for little more than a reimbursement of expenses to draft and send the defense briefs to the authority that notified the "fine" (Municipal Police, Highway Police, Carabinieri). There is a great deal of regulatory confusion between the Government's Dpcm and the Regional Ordinances, often the citizen finds himself in difficulty and is unable to justify his exit to the public official who asks for explanations. It is sufficient to send an email to info@cartellanoproblem.it to receive clarifications from the experts. Only at a later time will it be possible to decide whether to entrust your defense”.
