San Giorgio a Cremano. The flash mob took place this morning, organized by local merchants who also involved citizens with a symbolic applause from the balconies, to raise awareness of the Region and Government on the difficult situation that some categories are experiencing.
Dfter the event, Mayor Giorgio Zinno met with the President of the City Council Giuseppe Giordano, Councilor Grazia Esposito and Councilor Ciro Russo, a delegation of traders with whom they discussed possible measures to implement in their support. The Mayor confirmed the commitments made in previous meetings, relating to the Tari relief for the closing periods, as well as the reduction and possible exemptions on the Cosap fees (occupation of public land) and on the advertising tax that will have to be discussed in the City Council.
The administration also reiterated the importance of supporting the recovery through funds and measures that can contribute to making the productive fabric of the city more attractive, also in the future. The dialogue already started with the meeting 10 days ago, between the administration and the representatives of the Region and the national Government, which has already borne its first fruits with the opening by the Region towards take-away by catering businesses, was also confirmed.
“Once again, San Giorgio a Cremano, even in difficult times, shows itself to be a cohesive community for the common good and the development of the territory – explains Mayor Giorgio Zinno. In fact, we shared the need to create a permanent round table for discussion between merchants and institutions. A round table that can bear fruit provided that merchants rediscover a spirit of aggregation, through the construction of associative subjects, representative of local realities”.
Councilor Grazia Esposito agrees: “We discussed the sanitizations imposed on traders that have high costs for them. We will propose that also with respect to this aspect we meet commercial activities by combining safety and economy”.
“Satisfied with the constructive meeting – concludes Giuseppe Giordano – I am convinced that in the City Council, we will unanimously commit to approving the measures to support our productive fabric”.
