As previously announced, the exodus of Campania citizens from the northern regions began with the start of phase 2 of the Coronavirus health emergency.
CAs preventive measures for such movements from the northern areas, checks have been set up such as those at the Naples motorway barrier, at a station managed by a doctor from the Caserta ASL, who, according to the Tagadà programme on La7, identified 14 positive cases of covid-19, through rapid tests (therefore less reliable than swabs), out of 60 checks carried out.
"If the data were confirmed, it would be an alarming figure, we would be faced with reckless and criminal behavior by people who try to "clandestinely" enter Campania even though they know they are positive, thus creating a great danger for all citizens. We absolutely must intensify controls on the highways where most of the people who want to escape controls are concentrated, we must protect citizens and all the efforts made so far, there is a risk of ruining everything and generating a disaster. We ask all Campania citizens living in the northern regions to behave responsibly, to come to the South only if strictly necessary, to respect the safety protocols and to quarantine once they arrive in Campania." - declared the Regional Councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
