The proposal of the candidate for the presidency of the Campania Region during a meeting with the nativity scene masters of San Gregorio Armeno
"The workshops of the master nativity scene makers of San Gregorio Armeno represent an excellence of Made in Campania to be relaunched and valorized especially in this moment of crisis. We propose immediately a non-repayable contribution for fixed costs, the inclusion of this sector in the intangible assets of UNESCO so that they can also benefit from funds for culture and a bonus for the purchase of crafts made in Campania, on a par with the bicycle bonus and the tourism bonus.
Furthermore, in these hours I will send a letter to the President of the Institute of Foreign Trade, so that our artisan businesses can benefit from the funds for internationalization, and the nativity scenes of San Gregorio Armeno together with all the excellence of Campanian craftsmanship can arrive in all the fairs and foreign markets throughout the world". This is what the candidate of the 5 Star Movement for the presidency of the Campania Region Valeria Ciarambino declared after meeting the nativity scene masters of San Gregorio Armeno, to whom she illustrated the program proposals for the relaunch of Made in Campania craftsmanship.
"In the over 70 thousand artisan companies in Campania, over 115 thousand workers are employed, this means that in our region one worker in ten is employed in this sector. Yet up to now regional politics has never focused on this strategic asset, rich in excellence to be protected and relaunched. For this reason, in our program we propose to invest the tens of millions of euros that we currently spend on training to help our young people grow within artisan companies. We want this money to be given to companies to directly train our young people, not only so that the knowledge of the artisan tradition is not lost, but so that at the same time, job opportunities are created. In the next few days we will meet with representatives of Campanian artisans to build together with them a map of the professional figures that are needed in Campania, thus orienting the training offer towards the occupations that are actually needed".
