There are 142 new coronavirus infections in Italy today, a slight increase compared to yesterday when there were 125 but with almost double the number of swabs carried out.
Of the 62 new cases, approximately 43 percent were registered in Lombardy, while another 24 in Campania. The total number of cases thus rises to 240.578. The decline in patients hospitalized in intensive care continues: today there are 93 with a decrease of three units compared to yesterday. A similar trend also for the number of hospitalized patients, 30 less than yesterday for a total of 1.090.
There are 2 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 34.767. These are the data on the Covid-19 epidemiological emergency in the last 24 hours released by Ministry of Health. The swabs carried out in the last 24 hours are 48.273, a sharp increase compared to yesterday when there were only 27.218. Then there are 1.062 more than yesterday those discharged/recovered in total 190.248
