Statement from scouting manager Enrico Longobardi: «This year for the USA we decided to start by playing it safe, that is, by signing the one who probably would have been the MVP of last season. We have always and only focused on Charles, he has been our first objective since the beginning and we have never looked for anyone else, also because we want to have leaders not only among the group of Italians, which is full of players with personality, but also among the foreigners, who will have to put the icing on the cake to the high-level market that we have carried out».
