The Digos of Avellino has identified two people who, last June 5, had thrown two eggs at the leader of the League Matteo Salvini during the inauguration of the provincial headquarters of the party in via Stanislao Esposito in Avellino.
Land eggs fell to the ground a few centimeters from Salvini, without hitting him or the many people nearby. The perpetrators of the act are two university students from the province of Avellino, aged 24 and 26 respectively, who have been reported to the judicial authorities for the crimes of private violence and dangerous throwing of objects. The two young women, together with others, also verbally challenged Salvini by uttering, as stated in a note from the Avellino Police Headquarters, "offensive words and phrases directed at the senator. The timely intervention of the police officers - the note concludes - had prevented, in the circumstance, the situation from degenerating into physical contact with the supporters of the League present".
