The Fiamme Gialle continues its incessant activity, constantly committed to ensuring that public funds do not end up in the wrong hands.
I Yesterday, soldiers from the Marcianise Guardia di Finanza Company arrested GDV, a 20-year-old Italian with no criminal record and resident in Caserta, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
During a routine roadside check, the Guardia di Finanza inspected the van of an express courier who was making his round of deliveries, checking the contents of the packages transported. Inside one of these, approximately 1.050 grams of marijuana were found, destined to be sold at retail on the local market.
The military, having ascertained the presence of the drug, decided to follow the courier until the delivery was made, thus managing to identify the individual who collected the package, and then proceed to search his home as well.
Further investigations carried out immediately by the officers highlighted that the purchase of the substance was clearly intended for dealing. Furthermore, the complicity in the crime of another young man from Caserta, GZ, 21 years old, already with a police record for drugs, was ascertained. At the latter's home, the military then found approximately 1.600 euros in cash, all in small denomination banknotes, evidently the proceeds of the crime of dealing.
The recipient of the narcotic substance was therefore arrested and, by order of the Judicial Authority of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, taken to house arrest pending validation of the provision. The second young man was instead reported at large, also for the crime of possession of substances possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
Further investigations carried out by the financial police also revealed that the GDV family unit, the recipient of the shipment, received over 3.000 euros in public contributions in the form of citizen income in the last year. Therefore, the communication was made to INPS for the purpose of forfeiture of the benefit.
The activity of the Guardia di Finanza of Marcianise demonstrates the constant commitment of the Fiamme Gialle in the repression of illicit trafficking, including the use of commercial circuits for the transit and transportation of large quantities of narcotics, with the dual intent of preventing the circuits of the legal economy from being fraudulently used for criminal purposes and of repressing any form of illegal trade and illicit enrichment by micro-criminality. The attention of the Fiamme Gialle is also constantly oriented towards reporting those who, by unduly accessing social benefits, defraud the State so as to prevent public contributions from ending up in the wrong hands.
