"Castellammare di Stabia is officially Covid Free from today. The ASL has informed us of the recovery of the last citizen still positive for Covid-19: it is a 53-year-old woman who last May 20th following some feverish symptoms had undergone a swab, the result of which had confirmed the coronavirus infection".
The mayor of Stabia, Gaetano Cimmimo, wrote this on his Facebook page. And then he continues: Recently, the woman took two more swabs, on June 29 and 30, both with negative results, which is why the ASL declared the patient's recovery and revoked her home isolation measure.
At present, in Castellammare there are no patients positive for Covid-19, nor citizens in home isolation. A splendid goal, achieved thanks to the perseverance, sense of responsibility and maturity of all of you citizens, especially in the most acute phase of the spread of the infection. We rowed together, we remained united and, thanks to everyone's efforts and sacrifices, we managed to achieve a great result. However, the virus is not yet defeated: we must continue to be careful and respect the rules. Only in this way will we be able to definitively banish the invisible enemy and win our challenge. Together we will succeed”.
