Caivano. Drugs, Kalashnikovs and threats: the Carabinieri arrest 5 people on orders of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of the Naples Prosecutor's Office for association aimed at drug dealing, possession of weapons, private violence and damage aggravated by mafia methods.
I On June 26, Carabinieri from the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna arrested five people responsible for very serious incidents in the management of drug dealing in the Parco Verde di Caiavano.
The investigation, conducted by the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna and coordinated by the Neapolitan DDA, allowed to document an association aimed at drug trafficking, with an operational base in the popular settlement called “Parco Verde” of Caivano. During the operations, a laboratory for the preparation and packaging of narcotic substances was identified, and the discovery of approximately 1,5 kg of narcotic substances of various nature already divided into doses (cocaine, heroin, hashish and marijuana), two pistols, 4 magazines for AK47 “Kalashnikov” machine gun, as well as ammunition of various calibers.
Numerous episodes of possession of large quantities of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing were documented by the military during the investigations.
Over 5 thousand euros, proceeds of drug dealing, were seized, found in the possession of the head promoter of the criminal organization. It was also ascertained that the group had carried out a series of threatening episodes against an entire family, resident in the popular complex to make them tolerate the presence of the drug dealing square, located at the entrance to their building. When the Carabinieri then identified the drug packaging laboratory, the criminal group accused, without foundation, the members of the family unit of being responsible for the 'tip-off' to the police. At that point, a punitive expedition was launched with the damage of one of the cars used by the family who, for fear of reprisals, never reported the episode.
During the execution of the restrictive measures, 570 grams of hashish-type narcotic substance, divided into 600 doses, held by one of the arrested persons and approximately 200 grams of marijuana attributable to the aforementioned association were found and seized.
Furthermore, approximately 8 thousand euros in cash held by the people arrested were seized, as they were believed to be the proceeds of criminal activities related to drug dealing and trafficking.
Following the validation hearing, the investigating judge issued a custodial order against the 5 arrested persons.
