ILIAD Fiber Optics with Open Fiber: It has become a fixed-line operator. Investment planned in 271 cities.
The French company has also become a fixed network operator as of today. In fact, it has obtained authorization from the Ministry of Economic Development: "Iliad has signed an agreement with Open Fiber to launch its fixed-line network. The operator will use the company's fully fiber-optic FTTH network. Open Fiber is wiring the country, to provide its customers with the highest connection speed around". The collaboration "includes the entire perimeter of the plan that Open Fiber is implementing with direct investment (271 cities)".

In fact, the French company had already planned to enter the fixed network as well, but the launch date was set for 2024; most likely, the pandemic changed the plans and accelerated the launch.
