The Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the purchase of a shipment of 20 FFP3 masks destined for hospitals in the Vesuvian area during the coronavirus emergency.
The masks, which cost 100 thousand, according to the management of the ASL Napoli 3 Sud, which started the investigation, were not up to standard. The investigators want to understand how those masks arrived in Campania.
The safety devices were part of the cargo imported from China by Only Italia Logistics, company of the former President of the Chamber, Irene Pivetti, already investigated by the Public Prosecutors of Savona, Syracuse, Rome and Imperia. The Public Prosecutor of Torre Annunziata wants to understand the whole mechanism that made the masks arrive at the ASL Napoli 3 Sud.
