NTFI 2020. Tomorrow the world premiere of Bed Boy Jack by Bruno Fornasari; Sala d'Attesa – The Waiting Room, the talk show by Ettore De Lorenzo, returns; inauguration of the Exhibitions section at Palazzo Fondi

The thirteenth edition of the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia continues on Friday 3 July, the fourth directed by Ruggero Cappuccio, created with the support of the Campania Region, chaired by Vincenzo De Luca, and organized by the Fondazione Campania dei Festival, led by Alessandro Barbano.

World premiere, at the Fagianeria del Real Bosco di Capodimonte, at 21.00:1974 p.m., Bed Boy Jack, written and directed by Bruno Fornasari, with Tommaso Amadio, Emanuele Arrigazzi, Sara Bertelà, Chiara Serangeli. In the early XNUMXs, Austria is shaken by a series of murders of prostitutes that lead the police to deal with the first serial killer in the country's history. The case fascinates many journalists, including the writer Jack Unterweger who, sentenced to life imprisonment for murder in XNUMX, has recently obtained freedom thanks to the support of the literary elite, in particular the future Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek. When the investigation into the murders of prostitutes seems to be at a standstill, the police begin to suspect the very man who everyone thought was fully rehabilitated.

After last season's success, Sala d'Attesa – The Waiting Room, written and directed by Ettore De Lorenzo, returns to the Cortile d'onore of Palazzo Reale at 21.00:620 p.m. A theatrical talk show, with Ettore De Lorenzo, the band Bandaspè (Giosi Cincotti, Carlo di Gennaro, Machi Di Pace, Ugo Gangheri and Ernesto Nobili), and with the participation of the actor Massimiliano Gallo and the singer-songwriter Giovanni Truppi, which puts the themes of democracy and inequality at the center of the debate: the fall of the Berlin Wall marks the beginning of the era of globalization, a period that also represents the dawn of the digital era. From that moment on, capitalism no longer had opposing ideologies. In turn, technologies have literally overturned the idea of democracy to which we were accustomed. Through the exchange with the public, which from spectators becomes an active part of the story, and thanks to the contribution of the guests, ideas and visions on other possible worlds and on how to act to build a better future will be compared. They will take turns to discuss the topic: Mauro Barberis (jurist), Paolo Macrì (historian), Lamberto Maffei (director of the Institute of Neuroscience of the Cnr), Daniele Zovi (writer and popularizer), Marco Musella (economist), Paolo Iorio (Director of the Filangieri Museum of Naples), Antonio Trampus (member of the board of directors of the Italian Society for the Study of the Modern Age and professor of Modern History at Ca' Foscari in Venice), Vincenzo Accurso (Whirpool worker and member of the Regional Council of Uilm). Those who were unable to secure a seat to attend the show live will still have the opportunity to watch the event in streaming for free this year on the Ecosistema digitale per la cultura platform of the Campania Region (https://cultura.regione.campania.it/en/web/teatro/live) and on the CRC radio and video channels (Radio CRC Targato Italia and on Channel XNUMX of Digital Terrestrial) made available by the NTFI.

Not just theater on the third day of the Festival: also on Friday, July 3, the section dedicated to Exhibitions kicks off at Palazzo Fondi: four exhibitions with free admission, open to visitors at Palazzo Fondi from Thursday to Sunday, from 17.00:20.00 p.m. to 31:2017 p.m., until July XNUMX. Fragile, curated by Antonella Romano, unfolds in a series of six rooms, like a succession of one-act theater scenes on the theme of human fragility. Girls Not Brides curated by Romeo Civilli is a photographic exhibition on the unfortunately still widespread phenomenon of child brides in Bangladesh, a country that ranks fourth for the prevalence rate of early marriages, despite the Child Marriage Restraint Act approved in XNUMX. Hypnodrama curated by Elena Tommasi Ferroni and with animations by Jacopo Bette is a project specifically conceived for the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia and includes images that take up the metaphor of theater as an art form in which times and places are not subject to the space-time rules of nature. Tommaso Le Pera, one of the most important contemporary stage photographers, through ROBERTO HERLITZKA “I WANT TO BE AN ATTOR”. A photographic exhibition by Tommaso Le Pera displays the images of about thirty shows immortalized by him and interpreted by one of the most beloved actors in Italy.
