Today, the VI Permanent Commission "Education and Culture, Scientific Research, Social Policies" of the Campania Region, chaired by Councilor Tommaso Amabile (Democratic Party) has approved the Unified Text of the Proposed Laws containing "Measures for the prevention and fight against violence and gender discrimination".
“The approved text – says Tommaso Amabile, President of the VI Commission – was born with the aim of creating in Campania a unitary system for the prevention and contrast of all forms of violence of gender and discrimination motivated by sexual orientation or “gender identity, which is able to systematize the matter in order to offer an adequate response to the multiple manifestations of a phenomenon which, unfortunately, remains rooted, often in a subtle way, in the social fabric”.
After an intense discussion phase in the Subcommittee, the Text was approved today in a timely manner, so that it can be included in the next Agenda of the Regional Council of Campania, scheduled for the first days of August.
