The regional president of the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) and mayor of Caserta, Carlo Marino, will send a note to the President of the Region and Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina urging the new school year to begin on September 28th, not September 14th. "In our opinion, it is illogical to open schools on the 14th and close them four days later for regional elections and referendums," the delegates stated. "It is illogical to start before the delivery of single-seat desks, which the Ministry will ensure no earlier than the end of September. We remind you that the exemption from the start of classes, set for September 14th, can only be granted for all schools by the government. We expect a positive response from Minister Azzolina."
